Bring in the Clowns!

This past weekend we were pleased to create a sweet table for a special little man who turned one. They planned a carnival themed party with everything from cotton candy to fresh popped popcorn. Despite the rain and a few change of plans, the party was a huge success. Here are a few shots of what Candy Coated did to help make his big day a little sweeter!! Happy Birthday Knox!!!

2 Sweet Mamas

Who are the ladies behind Candy Coated?? Let me tell you a little about us!!

Kelly and I (Heather) met about 3 1/2 years ago. We were both on maternity leave with our daughters, looking to meet other mama's with similar interests and lifestyles. We first met at a baby playgroup at the library and quickly became friends. After only a few playdates with the girls we realized we had a lot in common. A love for crafting, scrapbooking, baking, photography, shopping, throwing great parties and of course spoiling our baby girls! We spent a lot of time together, often planning special events for our friends (and sometimes fighting over who got to host the next event). Before we knew it, our maternity leaves came to an end. Neither one of us wanted to go back into our careers and felt it important to stay at home with our little girls who we knew would be grown up in the blink of an eye. In an attempt to earn a little extra money for our families we both signed up as consultants with different independent sales companies. Although we enjoyed it for the time being, we both knew we wanted something more, something that was a reflection of us. After going back and forth on many ideas we decided to put out love for crafts, baking and entertaining into one and Voila: Candy Coated was born! We are thrilled to roll up our sleeves and get a little messy as we embark on this sweet business venture together!
